Riyadh Elm University is a private university in Riyadh and the first private health education institution in the Kingdom. It offers 9 bachelor programmes in 3 colleges: dentistry and medicine; pharmacy, nursing and dental assisting; and computing and artificial intelligence tracks. Here are the majors by college, the admission minimum for each programme, and the fees and discounts, as published by the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
REU publishes the following admission rules2, which we carry over as the official page states them:
- You need a science-stream secondary certificate from inside the Kingdom or its equivalent from abroad, for every bachelor programme.
- You must be medically fit, and not dismissed from or under warning at another university or college for disciplinary or academic reasons.
- For dentistry and medicine: a weighted score of at least 80% and Tahsili of at least 70.
- Graduates of international (American or British) schools and international students can submit an alternative test instead of Qudrat and Tahsili.
- The registration fee is 2,000 SAR, paid once on applying and not refundable.
- Certificates and identity documents must be attested by the Ministry of Education.

How is the weighted score calculated at Riyadh Elm University?
Riyadh Elm University calculates the weighted score in three parts: 40% Tahsili, 30% secondary school and 30% Qudrat. The minimum depends on the programme: 80% with Tahsili of at least 70 for dentistry and medicine, 70% for pharmacy and the computing and AI tracks, and 65% for nursing and dental assisting.2
Because Tahsili carries the most weight, your Tahsili result decides most of your score, and it is a separate requirement for dentistry and medicine too.2
How much are the fees at Riyadh Elm University?
The published fees per semester are 45,000 SAR for dentistry, 40,000 SAR for medicine, 35,000 SAR for the Doctor of Pharmacy, 30,000 SAR for nursing and dental assisting, and 25,000 SAR for the computing and AI tracks. VAT is added for those subject to it.2
There is also a 2,000 SAR registration fee paid once on applying, and a 500 SAR equivalency fee for transfer or bridging applicants who want earlier courses credited.2
What discounts and payment options does Riyadh Elm University offer?
The merit discount for continuing students after the first semester is 20% for a GPA of 4.75 or more, 15% from 4.50 and 10% from 4.25. The sibling discount is 15% for the second sibling and 20% for the next, and there is 10% off for paying the full year early. You cannot combine two discounts.2
The Mustaqbal programme lets Saudi students in pharmacy, nursing and dental assisting pay 50% of the fees while studying and 50% after graduating. You can also pay in interest-free instalments through the Maslak programme, or through Tamara in up to 6 instalments.2
