Where the student card is asked for
Some deals are activated at a branch or a counter, so you prove you are a student with your university card:
- Fitness Time: the University Students Program is activated at a club with your university card or an official enrolment letter, not online.
- flynas: its November 2018 student announcement asked for the university ID at the check-in counter. Details in student flight discounts.
- Aleph (Apple reseller): 5% off Mac and iPad and 10% off Apple Pencil for students and teachers. You upload your university card or an official university letter showing your enrolment status and dates, and Aleph reviews it. Details in Apple student discount.
Where your university email is enough
Many online student discounts do not ask for the card and check your university email instead. On tiswa we confirm you are currently enrolled at your university, and every deal opens:
Lost your card, or still waiting for it
Your university issues the student card, so ask your university how to get one or replace it. Until then, deals that check your university email work as usual, and Fitness Time accepts an official enrolment letter instead of the card.
The ISIC international student card
ISIC is an international student card sold in Saudi Arabia for SAR 120, according to its official Saudi page. It asks for your photo, a copy of your ID or passport and proof that you are a student (a valid student ID or an enrolment letter). It is most useful when you travel. For discounts here in Saudi Arabia, see ISIC card in Saudi Arabia.
Bank student cards
Some people searching for "student card" mean a bank card for students. Those are bank products from the bank itself, and tiswa does not cover them. This article is about the university card and student discounts.
Student mobile plans
No Saudi carrier has a plan that asks for a student card. Every youth and student plan from stc, Mobily and Zain, with prices, is in student data packages in Saudi Arabia.
