By the tiswa editorial team, from the official sources listed at the end of this guide. How we write our guides
The short answer
- Most Saudi universities deposit the student stipend on the 27th of each Gregorian month.
- When the 27th is a Friday or Saturday, it usually lands on the last working day before it.
- Each university sets its own schedule, so the exact day comes from your admissions or student affairs deanship.

Expected stipend days for the coming months
This table updates itself each month. It shows the expected day under the rule above, not an official announcement:
| Month | Expected day |
|---|---|
| November 2026 | Thursday 26 November |
| December 2026 | Sunday 27 December |
| January 2027 | Wednesday 27 January |
| February 2027 | Thursday 25 February |
| March 2027 | Thursday 25 March |
| April 2027 | Tuesday 27 April |
How much is the stipend?
It depends on your major and university. At universities like King Saud University and King Faisal University the monthly stipend is SAR 1,000 for science majors and SAR 850 for humanities, and some universities deduct a small amount for the student fund.
Why has my stipend not arrived?
- Your IBAN: a bank account in your name must be registered in the university system.
- New students: the first payment usually waits until registration and the IBAN are complete.
- Regular status: the stipend is for regular students within the standard study period; your university has the full rules.
How to make the stipend last the month
The easiest way is never paying full price for something with a student price. Monthly subscriptions are the first place to save:
Some paid software is free with your university email; see university email benefits. Every student deal is in student discounts in Saudi Arabia.
