Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University is a public university in Al-Kharj with branches in Wadi Al-Dawasir, Al-Dilam, Al-Sulayyil, Al-Aflaj and Hawtat Bani Tamim. This page gathers the admission conditions published on the university site and the programmes of its colleges and branches; selection is by a weighted score from secondary school, Qudrat and Tahsili.

PSAU publishes the following admission rules3, which we carry over as the official page states them:

  • A secondary certificate or equivalent from a licensed body inside or outside the Kingdom is required, and a foreign certificate must be equated by the Ministry of Education.
  • No more than five years may have passed since obtaining the secondary certificate.
  • A valid National Center for Assessment result (General Aptitude and Achievement tests) is required.
  • Applicants must be medically fit and able to complete the programme requirements.
  • Applicants dismissed from the university for disciplinary or academic reasons are not admitted.
  • Applicants dismissed from another university for disciplinary reasons are not admitted.
  • The applicant must not be enrolled in another university inside or outside Saudi Arabia.
  • Applicants exempted from the centre's tests, with a letter from it, compete for humanities and administrative specialisations.
  • Applicants who already hold a bachelor's degree are not admitted.
  • A diploma holder cannot apply for the same degree again and may apply for the bachelor's degree only.
  • The weighted score for every specialisation is 30% secondary average, 30% General Aptitude and 40% Achievement test.

What are the university's colleges and where are they taught?

The university teaches in Al-Kharj, Wadi Al-Dawasir, Al-Dilam, Al-Sulayyil and Al-Aflaj, plus Hawtat Bani Tamim. Its programme directory shows that each branch has its own colleges and programmes, and some specialisations repeat across branches for male and female students.2

The health colleges (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing and Applied Medical Sciences) are taught in Al-Kharj, while Wadi Al-Dawasir adds Medical Laboratory Sciences and Nursing Sciences; Engineering is taught in Al-Kharj and Wadi Al-Dawasir.2

The Applied College in Al-Sulayyil offers intermediate diplomas in fields such as information security, accounting and taxation, multimedia, business intelligence and supply chains, and the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education offers diplomas in family counselling, editing and secretarial work, and educational measurement.2

How do application and admission work, and what are the study system and degrees?

Admission is annual: you apply once at the start of the academic year, and there is no admission window in the second semester, so prepare your scores and preferences before the unified national platform opens.4

Follow your result from your account on the unified admission site according to the published schedule, and do not rely on text messages alone. If you are not accepted into the health track after the interview, you can still compete for the other colleges and order your preferences before the gate closes.4

The university awards the bachelor's after at least four years of study and the associate diploma after at least two, and the study system on offer is regular attendance.4

What are the conditions for transferring to Prince Sattam University from another university?

For an external transfer the student must be Saudi or have a Saudi mother, hold a secondary certificate or equivalent, be medically fit, have studied at a licensed institution classified by the Ministry of Education, and not have been dismissed for disciplinary or academic reasons.5

Your weighted score must not be below the college's minimum for the last semester, and you must apply within the external-transfer window set in the academic calendar.5

Dates and ratios change every year, so check the university's admission pages and the unified national platform before applying. Compare the branches, since programme availability differs from one branch to another, order your preferences according to your weighted score and seat availability, and then follow student prices on tiswa once verified.
