By the tiswa editorial team, from the official sources listed at the end of this guide. How we write our guides
The Saudi National Bank has opened applications for its Technology, Data & AI Program, a three-month route for recent graduates in technical majors.2 After the program, the bank takes over steering graduates toward roles it considers a fit. That placement wording needs a careful read, so we spend time on it below.
What is the SNB technology program?
It is a three-month training program at the Saudi National Bank for recent graduates in technical majors, with one month of blended learning and two months on the job.12
Outside learning institutions helped shape the content, and participants can meet senior leaders while they train.1 The first month is the classroom part, and the two months after it are spent working inside the bank.1
The official page does not say how the on-the-job months are split between departments, or what a trainee's week looks like during the first month. Those are fair questions to put to the bank during the process, and you should have the answers in writing before you accept any placement.

Who is eligible for the SNB technology program?
Saudi nationals who recently finished a bachelor's or master's in a technical major, speak fluent English, and are not in a job qualify.12 A job listing describes the intake as candidates with zero to one year of work experience.3
Anyone outside that group falls out. Non-Saudis fail the first condition, and a current employee fails the no-job condition. A graduate of a non-technical major falls outside the technical-major wording, and the published text names no exceptions.1
The program also reaches beyond the applicant. The official page says the bank wants to drive innovation through technology across its various departments, so placements can land in several parts of SNB, not one team.1
What are the SNB technology program requirements?
The published list has five conditions plus a set of personal skills. Use it as a checklist before you spend time on an application.12
- Saudi nationality, the first condition on the published list.
- A recent bachelor's or master's in a technical or related major.
- Fluent English, spoken and written.
- No current employment at the moment you apply.
- Analytical strength, the ability to work under pressure, independent project management, and teamwork.
The criteria name degrees and majors but no universities, so a graduate of a private university with a technical degree meets the wording. The bank still decides after the assessments and interviews.1
Neither page sets a time limit on how recent 'fresh graduate' has to be. If you graduated some time ago, ask the bank before you assume you match, because the wording alone will not settle it.
Which SNB program track should I choose?
The Arabic announcement lists artificial intelligence, data science and information technology.2 A job listing uses the same three names.3 The English page we opened names information security, information technology and enterprise data management instead.1 Only information technology appears on both lists, so confirm the track list on the page you apply from, since your track sets what you train on for three months.
Match the track to work you have already done, not to the name of your major alone. A graduation project built on databases or dashboards points toward the data track, while work on networks or systems fits the IT track on either list. That is our reading of the track names, not a rule the bank has published.
How do I apply to the SNB technology program?
Start on the program page, confirm each condition, then use the official application link.2
- Check every condition
Saudi nationality, a recent technical degree, fluent English and no current job. If one does not fit, stop here and save your time.
- Open the program page
On the SNB website, go to About us > Careers, then open the Technology Program page.
- Pick the track that matches your project
Compare your final-year project and courses with the track list on the page. Choose one you can explain in an interview.
- Use the official application link
The page sends you to the application through its apply button. Save a copy of what you submit.
- Prepare for assessments and interviews
The recruitment process includes skill assessments and interviews, and you have to get through them.1

What should I prepare before I apply?
The criteria also ask for analytical strength, the ability to work under pressure, independent project management and teamwork.1 Each of those needs an example from real university work, such as a project, a presentation or a group assignment. Write each example in two lines before the interview, and say what you did rather than what the subject was.
Does the SNB technology program guarantee a job?
No. The official page says the bank steers graduates toward roles it considers a fit, which is not the same as a named offer.1 The Arabic announcement adds that the bank bases the placement on its own needs.2 Treat the final two months as a test of fit for both sides, and keep your other applications running while you wait.
Read the placement as an entry point into the bank, not a promise about one job title. The bank decides where you go after the program, so what it needs at that moment shapes your first role.2
Does the SNB technology program pay a salary?
Neither official page we opened states a salary, and we found no fee for applicants either, so the pay question stays open until the bank answers it in writing.
- A closing date. The English page we opened shows none, so read the application link before you start.
- A city. The official page names no location, but a job listing places the work in Riyadh and Jeddah.3
- A list of universities. The criteria name degrees and majors only.
We therefore treat the official page as the source for the conditions and tracks only. Any question about pay or fees goes to the bank in writing.
Where do applicants go wrong?
The most common mistake is reading the placement line as an acceptance letter, then dropping every other application. The second is applying while still employed, which the criteria rule out before anyone reads a CV. The third is choosing a track from a headline, when the track names differ between the pages.
Another slip is accepting a placement without asking how the on-the-job months are structured. Ask for the terms in writing, and read them before you sign anything.
For the interview, read job interview questions for students. Without work experience yet, a CV for students with no experience gives you a starting structure, and graduate development programs in Saudi Arabia explains the other routes after graduation.
